The necklace is pre-owned but has been well taken care of and is in good shape with moderate plate loss (mostly on the back). The design patent (shown in photos/not included) was filed for in October 1948 and approved in January 1949. The necklace is significant for its historical value, as it was designed by Alfred Philippe, one of Trifari's most famous craftsmen. Prior to Trifari, Philippe designed for Cartier and Van Cleef & Arpels.
Also shown in photos (not included) is the original Trifari advertisement showcasing this design. This stunning accessory is perfect for adding a touch of glamour to any outfit. The chain style makes it versatile and easy to pair with other pieces of jewelry. It is beautifully designed and well made, with a unique and eye-catching scale pattern.
It is well made and substantial. Enlarge/zoom photos for detailed view and measurements.
