Vintage signed Trifari lovely gold ruffled swirl Brooch in gift box

Offered is a vintage signed Crown Trifari 3 dimensional gold spiral ruffled gleaming Brooch with a stunning twirled ribbon of clear rhinestones in a lovely gift box. This gold plated matte and high polish piece is in really fine condition, without tarnishing or discoloration. It epitomizes the elegance of the bygone era with a graceful flowing shape and detailed edges in highly polished gold. Brooch is domed and crafted in a gold-plated.

In excellent condition, signed Trifari? Dating this beauty from around 1955 to late 1960s.

MEASUREMENTS: 1.75 x 1.5 inches. Considered a "founding father" of costume jewelry, the Trifari jewelry brand was created by Gustavo Trifari Sr. Krussman in 1918 and later added a third partner, Carl Fishel. In 1930 Trifari hired Alfred Philippe as head designer, and that is when the company really began to thrive.

Philippe's background designing very high-end fine jewelry for firms like Cartier and Van Cleef and Arpels brought a wonderful sense of luxury and style to the company. Pieces by Philippe are highly sought after and have recently greatly increased in price. Trifari as it was ceased production in 1999. Since then, lesser quality jewelry has been mass-produced without any stamping on the back of the jewelry.
