Trifari Philippe Book Piece Sapphire Glass Diamante Necklace Earrings Set C. 1950

Rare Trifari by Alfred Philippe sapphire glass cabochons. And diamante pave jewelry set. Featuring a necklace and clip earrings from the 1950s. The very similar set shown on a Jewels by Trifari catalog cover.

Shown on page 142 of the book. "Collecting Costume Jewelry 202" by Lulia C.

(photo of the page is available upon request). The rhodium-plated necklace measures 16 1/4 inches in length. Including a 2 3/4-inch extender chain. Its links showcase translucent sapphire glass cabochons. Measuring 16 X 12 mm, which are set in an open-back mount. With a foliage design, adorned with sparkling diamante pave. Each link measures 26 x 16 mm. The closure is a hook marked with the TRIFARI with crown.

The matching clip earrings measure 22 x 18 mm. And are also stamped with the TRIFARI name. Overall, the set is in very good condition for its age. With some diamante have darkened over time.
