TRIFARI Petalettes Floral Set Alfred Philippe Gold-Trifanium Translucent 1949
This Absolutely Beautiful TRIFARI translucent "Petalette" set (designed by Alfred Philippe in 1949) is lovely. With the addition of a Petalette Butterfly Brooch-Pin, this set would be a wonderful addition to any Vintage jewelry collection. The Stunning Earrings are each approximately 1 by.
They have a shiny Gold tone base (Trifanium) and feature a half folded four-petal flower design. The color of the petals are a clouded Translucent or Semi-Transparent (in the photos they appear light Gray). These Beautiful Earrings are signed "TRIFARI" with the Crown symbol.The first Gorgeous matching Brooch-Pin is approximately 1.5" by 2" and also has a standard pin-closure. It too has a shiny Gold tone base (Trifanium) and features a ten petal flower with stem design. The petals are a clouded Translucent or Semi-Transparent (in the photos they appear light Gray). This Beautiful Brooch-Pin is signed "TRIFARI" with the Crown symbol. The second Striking Brooch-Pin is approximately 1.5" by 2" and also has a standard pin-closure.
It too has a shiny Gold tone base (Trifanium) and features a Butterfly design. This Beautiful Brooch-Pin is not signed, which is common for this line of Trifari Petalettes. The Elegant matching Necklace has a pendant that can also be worn as a Brooch-Pin.
It is approximately 13 long with a fold-over closure. It too has a shiny Gold tone base (Trifanium) and the pendant features an approximate 1.75 circular double layered petal design. This Beautiful Necklace is signed "TRIFARI" with the Crown symbol. The Beautiful Floral Brooch-Pin was included in a "Jewels by Trifari" advertisement Woodland Fantasies.
This is a signed set, but I believe they are part of TRIFARI's "Petalette" collection (which many pieces are unsigned).. Though not very noticeable, While examining the Necklace pendant, I discovered that one of the smaller top layer Petals was cracked at the bottom. I also noticed that one of the single petal Earrings had a small crack at the bottom. I also noticed two small cracks in one wing of the Butterfly Brooch-Pin....Despite these minor imperfections, I believe these pieces are in overall Fair-Good condition for their vintage ages....
