Trifari Jelly Belly Turtle Pin Sterling Silver Alfred Philippe Vintage 1943
This stunning vintage brooch is signed Crown Trifari, designed by Alfred Phillippe in 1943 and features a beautiful sterling silver sea turtle with a sparkling white and colorless crystal rhinestone encrusted lucite shell. Crafted from high-quality sterling silver, this rare piece is a must-have for any collector of vintage and antique jewelry. With a metal purity of 925 and a main stone shape of cabochon, this brooch exudes elegance and sophistication. The combination of sterling silver and crystal rhinestone with a lucite center stone creates a unique and eye-catching design.

This brooch is a book piece found on page 87 of Millers Costume Jewelry. He is in excellent condition with the exception of a small internal crack in the lucite cabochon. It is visible in some up close photos but cannot be felt from the top of the stone.

See the section on "condition" for details. All prong set rhinestones are present and sparkly as are his eyes which are original to the piece. The eyes are often found missing on many pieces or have been replaced.

The tarnish to the sterling silver remains intact by request from many customers however it is easily removed using silver polish if the new owner wishes. According to the silver jewelry experts on Roadshow, the value of a piece of jewelry is not affected by polishing. In fact the sterling silver piece may become more desirable in the clean shiny state.
