This Absolutely Stunning TRIFARI "Gem of India" Set (in Rarely Seen For-Sale RHODIUM-Trifanium and Crystal Rhinestones) was designed by Alfred Philippe in 1951. This Set is accompanied by a Lovely "Jewels By Trifari" Presentation Box.... These Pieces were featured in a vintage advertisement, "On the Foreground of Fashion - Jewels by Trifari, " as well as in Julia C. Carroll's Book "Collecting Costume Jewelry 202 - Second Edition, " on page #243, which shows another Vintage advertisement, It wouldn't be Christmas without Jewels by Trifari. The Glamorous Necklace belonged to my Grandmother and has been in family storage for decades.... I believe this Set is in overall GOOD Vintage condition, consistent with age and wear.. These pieces are Costume Jewelry. "Costume Jewelry, " is also known as inexpensive (or Fashion) jewelry that imitates the look of fine jewelry. All rhinestones and metals are FAUX.
