TRIFARI Alfred Philippe'Birds and Birdhouse' Enamel and Rhinestone Fur Clip

Thank you, Exquisite Vintage Jewels. Such a sweet figural by Trifari. This rare and collectible fur clip's patent dates to 1942. With beautiful accents and something that you don't see a lot of and that is the Victorian shoe button glass for the bird's head in pink for the baby bird and dark sapphire for the mother bird. The bright red tree is rhinestone studded.

Sapphire is carried over in the enamel used for the rooftop and the mother's coloring. For the age of this wonderful pin the enamel is in good condition with very little to complain about - slight missing enamel. The photos give the best description for condition of enamel. The rhodium finish is in good condition with Trifari clearly shown at the top of the clip along with the patent number just to the top right of the signature. The fur clip opens and closes nicely.

I will point out that there is what looks like a second pin or hood in between the points. I haven't seen this before or at least haven't noticed it. I can only assume this is an added way to stabilize the pin.
