Rare UNSIGNED 1930's Trifari by Alfred Philippe Art Deco Style faux turquoise Rhodium Plated clips in good condition, with slight wear on the crystal and metal. The Parisian born Alfred Philippe trained at the prestigious design school'L'Ecole Boulle.
After emigrating to the US he worked as a fine jewellery designer for William Scheer Inc. One of the foremost manufacturing jewelers of the Art Deco era. Scheer created items for Cartier & Van Cleef & Arpels and Philippe was responsible for several full collections for these prestigious houses. Following the Crash in 1929, Philippe moved to Trifari as a designer, eventually becoming the head designer where he worked until his retirement in 1968.
