This is a very rare, Alfred Philippe designed necklace for Trifari. It was retailed in 1942. It is signed on the reverse at the top of the big drop on it's frame. There is also a number stamped into the metal "54" on one of the stations.
The beautiful golden colored faux sapphire stones are emerald cuts which are channel set within four separate sections of the rhodium plated necklace. There are two stations set with small, clear rhinestones and marquise shaped golden colored rhinestones. The catch is set with the same configuration and color of rhinestones as is the piece that the large drop is suspend from.The necklace is totally elegant, very regal. The condition of the necklace is excellent vintage. There are a few tiny, clear rhinestones which have slightly darkened with age. No channel set stones are damaged, missing or replaced.
The large emerald cut crystal drop has no chips or cracks. Please see the condition report above.The necklace is 20 1/2 in length, approximately.
