Rare Trifari Norman Bel Geddes Jelly Belly fish brooch designed in 1941. This Jelly Belly Sailfish Clip-Brooch is formed of a yellow and rose gold plated base metal alternating to form the tail fins segments, with a clear lucite "belly" and faux sapphire cabochon eye.
Signed Trifari with Crown, Des Pat No 129165 Reference: Brunialti, American Costume Jewelry - Art and Industry (2008) Vol 2 p 174. L 3.25" W 2.45". The metal has some wear in the back, some could be tarnish. The jelly belly is in great condition with a slightly cloudy spot on the back that should be able to clean off.
Nothing major, but a rare and fabulous very large fur pin. In overall great condition with no chips or cracks in the "jelly belly".
