RARE 1940's ALFRED PHILIPPE CROWN TRIFARI CLEOPATRA CHOKER NECKLACE, BRACELET

RARE 1940's CROWN TRIFARI ALFRED PHILIPPE ARTICULATED CLEOPATRA COLLAR CHOKER NECKLACE and BRACELET. This vintage set from Crown Trifari is simply breathtaking! Designed by Alfred Philippe, the necklace is marked Crown Trifari, Patent Pending, and the bracelet is marked Crown Trifari, Des(ign) Patent Pending, no patent number, which dates both pieces prior to Trifari receiving its patent in early 1949. Its Art Deco design resembles snake/reptile scales and brings to mind Cleopatra with its underlying Egyptian motif and the way the necklace looks like a collar. Both pieces are made out of a thick, heavy articulated goldtone Trifanium metal which moves quite fluidly.

Choker necklace measures 15 long and 1 wide; bracelet is approximately 7 long and ½ wide and has a safety chain at the clasp. In excellent vintage condition with some minor wear/patina and, as with most estate pieces, may need to be cleaned or polished.
