An exceptional and highly sought-after Crown Trifari floral fur clip designed by Alfred Philippe in 1941, and a documented book piece illustrated in American Costume Jewelry: Art & Industry by Brunialti. This example represents the larger and more elaborate version of the design, featuring a fuller bouquet with a greater number of blossoms than the smaller variant more commonly encountered. The bouquet is composed of numerous pastel enamel flowers in soft shades of pink, yellow, and blue, each accented with a sparkling clear rhinestone center. The flowers are framed by rich green enamel leaves and set against an intricately pierced metal backing that adds depth and lace-like delicacy to the composition. A graceful ribbon bow, set with clear rhinestones, gathers the stems at the base, creating a beautifully balanced and elegant silhouette.
The reverse is signed Trifari and marked Pat. Consistent with early 1940s production. Designed as a fur clip, this piece was intended for wear on coats and heavier fabrics, though it also displays beautifully as part of a fine Trifari collection.
