Exquisite rare Crown Trifari Scottish thistle brooch is made of soft gold tone brushed metal with polished accents. It features seventeen hand set teal blue glass skinny navette stones (much more beautiful in person) in a finely detailed layered design created in the 1950's by Alfred Philippe. Highest quality workmanship and materials with a solid substantial feel, fastens with a secure rollover safety clasp. The design patent was filed for March 1, 1950 and granted on August 1, 1950 with a patent number 159,529. Extremely rare and collectible a fabulous collector's find!
