Crown Trifari Alfred Philippe Faux Moonstone Rhinestone Battle Axe Signed Brooch Pin. Gorgeous and very rare vintage Crown Trifari Brooch in the shape of an Ceremonial Axe. This piece is so unique and gorgeous! The brooch consists of three faux moonstone cabochons and bright pave set pastes that are set into gleaming white white metal.

The body of the brooch is Trifari signature heavy gold plated metal. Because of this, the brooch has a very nice weight to it.

It is highly sculptural and features a fan of striations and a gleaming pave set rhinestone blade. This beautiful piece was designed by Alfred Philippe for Trifari in 1941. The brooch is marked Trifari 40 135 at the back and the trident crown can be seen over the T. This is a book piece and highly sought after.

A few of the pastes are missing, however there is so much gleaming sparkle going on that its very difficult to see and one would hardly notice. The metal finish has worn at the end of the bar pin at the locking mechanism. Bar pin and mechanism secure tightly. Overall very good condition for its age. 3-1/4 inches long x 1-1/2 inches wide.
