This is an early sterling silver gold gilt Crown Trifari animal figural brooch. Early 1930 Alfred Philippe joined Trifari as head designer, he's considered a top master craftsman in fine jewellery for Cartier and Van Cleef and Arples. His designs became very popular especially the well known designs known as fruit salad (also known as Tutti Frutti) jewelry and the Belly Jelly designs. His early brooch has a ruby colored jelly eyes, with a big, faceted aquamarine blue rhinestone belly. It is a truly collectible piece that will bring you joy for many years to come.
Marked with the Trifari logo and Pat. It is approximately 1.5" tall x 1" wide and also has clear rhinestones that surround the belly. The brooch is in great vintage condition with the pin and catch working perfectly.
Please note one of the clear accent rhinestone going around the belly (near left foot) appears with a yellowed coloration. I'm not sure whether it's due to age or has been replaced/repaired.
Please examine all photos for details. Please view and enlarge photographs to closely inspect find details and determine the amount of patina or wear. Most vintage pieces by nature normally have some degree of both and, unless severe, aren't considered damaged. I will do my best to include as many detailed photographs as possible and note anything distracting or defects.Given the unique nature of the vintage item, all sales are final.
