1948 Trifari Alfred Philippe Pair QUEEN BEE Crystal Rhodium Plate Scatter Pins

Some fine surface scratches, light surface and silver finish wear. NOTE: 4 missing/dead stones were replaced with new old stock Swarovski crystals in the same size, cut, color and shape. All remaining original stones are in good to very good condition, with some variation in color and clarity. Pins are small but encrusted with jewels--foiled and unfoiled--and well-designed with find details like the angular legs.

Back of each brooch is signed TRIFARI with a crown over the T, marked COPR and PAT PEND. Pin was patented by Alfred Philippe for Trifari on October 12th, 1948, patent number 151,397. For example, it was advertised in the November 30th, 1948 edition of Tulsa World. A copy of that ad is included in the listing photos. This pair was acquired together from the same estate.
