Rare Vintage Trifari Sterling Crown Brooch/Pin Alfred Philippe Design 1940's

My pins are vintage from the 40's, 50's and 60's and from my own personal collection. I received them from my grandmother's estate before she passed at the age of 100. She always wore them to church and always on her lapel or on her hat.

I have treasured these and lovingly stored them. As a child I used to play with them and that's how I ended up with my beautiful collection of pins. A beautiful rare vintage Mid-Century Sterling Silver Vermeil Rhinestone Trifari Crown Pin Brooch, likely a coronation brooch manufactured in the early 1940s. During World War II era. Trifari used sterling silver due to wartime metal restrictions, making these pieces rarer and more sought-after. It features vibrant jewel tones glass stones in emerald green, ruby red, and sapphire blue, accented with clear rhinestones across the band. It is Sterling Silver with gold vermeil. It's highlighted by open-back, prong-set teardrop shaped red, blue and green (symbolizing the Royal Gemstones of Ruby, Sapphire, and Emerald) plus four round cabochons in complementing colors and a line of clear pave-set stones. The sterling setting is accented with a fleur de lis at the top.

1-3/4" high x 2" wide and has a weight of approx. Fold over pin with safety catch closure, and loop on back. A photo of this pin is in Deborah Crosby's book A Century of Jewelry.
