Rare Vintage Alfred Philippe Trifari Axe Brooch With Enamel & Cabochons-Book Piece

This vintage Trifari brooch is called "Axe". The piece was designed by Alfred Philippe and patented in March of 1941 (patent 125,825).

This design is a book piece. A photo of the page is included. The design features an axe accented with enamel, cabochons and rhinestones.

There are some small spots of enamel loss throughout the piece. A few of the rhinestones show slight yellowing/darkening. The small cabochons have a couple tiny nicks and the green cabochon has a factory flaw on the surface. The piece is signed Trifari Des. The brooch measures approximately 3 1/4 x 1 3/8 inches at the widest points. Item shows wear consistent with age and use but still displays beautifully. Use photos as main part of the description.
